The Impact Collective is celebrating its 5th anniversary, and believe it or not, this is our first impact report. We often hear from our clients how difficult it can be to put the resources into creating an impact report when you’re a small team, and we agree! But now that we have our foundation and feel like we’re in a bit of a more stable place in our business, it was time. Plus, we didn’t quite know who we were and couldn’t point to the tangible impact we were having until we had some data to back it up. So, here it is!First, a little bit about us and how we got here. The Impact Collective began as an experiment: could we build a successful business that honors the whole of people, partners, and organizations? We didn’t see many other businesses doing that, so in 2020 we decided to try it ourselves. What began with four co-founders has evolved into a more holistic view of what we mean by “The Impact Collective.” Sure, it’s technically Sarah and Rebecca if you’re looking at the number of workers. But we believe the Collective goes beyond that - it’s our partners, our clients, our suppliers, the planet, Portland, our supporters. If you’re reading this, thanks for being a part of our Collective.
The Problem
We were also founded to solve a real problem. The world is hurting. An extractive economy is hurting humans, the planet, and our communities. Short term thinking and individualism above all else has gotten us into this mess.
Our Solution
We believe in a different way of doing business - one in which we measure success not by individual achievements or metrics, but by the strength of our Collective. If you’re a part of our Collective and you’re struggling, then we’re all struggling. We believe that a thriving economy is made up of whole humans and whole organizations that can show up as their full selves, ask for help when needed, give help where they can, and engage in reciprocal relationships that ensure everyone has enough and is able to thrive. We all have a vision of a better world. Let’s come together to make that happen. Our work centers around just that. We empower whole humans and whole organizations to actualize their vision of a better world. We do that in all the ways we work with our clients and our community - through impact strategy services, B Corp certification support, leadership coaching, retreats, and workshops. We meet our clients where they are at. Whatever point you are at on your impact journey, we can help you take the next step.
Our Mission
We empower whole humans and whole organizations to actualize their vision of a better world.
Our Vision
We envision a world in which the strength of the collective determines the success of the economy.
Our Pillars of Impact
We measure our impact according to three pillars.Whole Humans - We work with leaders to allow them to show up as whole humans.Whole Organizations - We empower organizations to actualize their vision of a better world.Vision of a Better World - We believe the strength of the collective determines the strength of the economy.
Whole Humans
The Problem
Too many of us are stuck in systems that reward performance over authenticity. We’ve internalized the idea that our worth is tied to our productivity. As a result, people—even people doing “good work”—struggle to show up as their full selves. Capitalism has conditioned us to conform, to produce, to compete. But that’s not where real impact comes from.
Our Intervention
We help people unlearn those patterns, starting with ourselves. We prioritize our personal development in order to serve the collective. Then, through coaching, storytelling, thought partnership, and practice, we create space for leaders to reconnect to their values, trust their inner knowing, and lead from a place of presence and power.
Outcomes So Far
Sarah and Rebecca are able to show up more whole and integrated in more spaces (it starts with us) Prioritizing personal development Rebecca:

She was able to offer such thoughtful and enlightening observations, ideas and practices that helped me at a foundational level and served me as a human, a mom and an entrepreneur without the false lines in between. I have been far more in tune with myself and have been able to weave mindfulness and grounding into my everyday life in a way that I’ve never achieved before. “ - Dana S., Social Entrepreneur

Vision for the Future
We’re building a world where inner work is not separate from social change. We envision a movement of leaders who know themselves deeply and lead with integrity, vulnerability, and courage.
Whole Organizations
The Problem
Many organizations have a vision of a better world but lack the clarity, structure, or confidence to get there. They’re navigating uncertainty without a map—and traditional business practices don't align with their values.
Our Intervention
We partner with organizations to help them actualize their vision of a better world. Whether through impact strategy, B Corp consulting, or our impact purchasing program, we co-create paths that align purpose with performance. Our work blends strategic consulting with deep listening and adaptability.

Vision for a Better World
The Problem
The economy continues to reward individual gain at the expense of collective wellbeing. But we believe the strength of the collective determines the success of the economy. A more just and regenerative world is only possible when individuals and institutions center community, care, and connection.
Our Intervention

Measured “collective effervescence” through participant stories and engagement levels
Mentored emerging impact leaders through coaching and informal guidance
Advocated for a regenerative, community-centered economy through public speaking and writing
Vision for the Future
Our future economy will be rooted in care, connection, and reciprocity. We envision a world where people and planet come first, where new relationships fuel innovation, and where every leader has a community to call on for support and collaboration.
What’s the takeaway?
Impact isn’t a checklist. It’s a way of being. And if we want a different world, we have to start by showing up differently—together.
Why should people care?
Because the world is asking something different of us right now. It’s asking us to lead with courage, to slow down and listen, to choose connection over control. And that’s exactly what we’re doing.Closing ThoughtsIf you’ve read this far, thank you. You are part of our collective. Whether we’ve worked together or not, your presence here matters. The work ahead is long. But we don’t have to do it alone.Let’s build the future we believe in—together. With care,Rebecca + SarahThe Impact Collective
